he economic rise of the company Protectoratsbahnen Bohemia and Moravia, which had already begun in previous years, continued in the fiscal year 1941 with lasting effect. As the Bohemian-Mährische Bahnen, as a result of the geographical position of the Protectorate in important transport connections of the large German area, bridge the bridge between the old Reich area and the Danube and Alpengauen and then further to the rich economic areas of south-eastern Europe. they are so directly involved in the overall line of German transport policy that they had to have their share in the enormous war-related tasks of the German railways in 1941. Increasing performances both for the civilian sector of the economy and for the fulfilment of the versatile military requirements, which the Böhmisch-Mährische Bahnen could achieve in close cooperation with the Deutsche Reichsbahn only under tension of all forces and using their entire technical apparatus, gave therefore the year 1941 the imprint. This increase in performance was naturally also reflected in the financial results of the financial year. In passenger and luggage transport, the E r t e was 48.24% higher than in the previous year, with 1 194.522 million K compared with 805.783 million K in 1940, and in freight transport, 2470.818 million K were able to generate 24.25% more revenue than in 1940. This further improvement in revenue results, in addition to the additional services and certain transport shifts (in particular migration to higher categories of wagons in passenger transport), is based on the alignment of tariffs to the German tariff system, which was carried out in freight transport with effect from 1 January 1941, in passenger traffic from 1 May 1941. The services of the Böhmisch-Mährische Bahnen (BMB) for the postal administration in the railway-post traffic were paid for the first time in 1941 with 60,197 million K. This compensation is based on provisional agreements between the Protectorate Railways and the Böhisch-Mehrische Postverwaltung, which were made on the model of the corresponding regulation between the Deutsche Reichsbahn and the Deutsches Reichspost. Other income increased by 54,75% year-on-year from 195,075 million K to 301,891 million K; the increase was mainly caused by the revenue charged here for the BMB's much larger services for the Deutsche Reichsbahn. As in the previous years, the protectorate railways were left with a partial amount of transport taxes in 1941 and charged as a return on income; corresponding to the increase in transport revenues, this share was 19.02 % higher than in previous years at 373.013 million K (1940: 313.390 million K). The total income in 1941 then amounted to 4,500,441 million K: it exceeded the result of the previous year (3,383,205 million K) by 33.02%. The amount of the operating invoice, which except for the item for the management of the protectorate railways, also the expenditure for the maintenance of the railway installations and vehicles, the expenditure on depreciation and amortization of L,L-1-Y-9/43,
