The amount of transport taxes granted to the company for the benefit of operating profit amounted to 217.499 million K. The favourable development of transport revenues was a consequence of the rapidly increasing traffic and the increasing labour input. In the case of goods transport, the number of shipments, particularly at tree sites, increased for private construction activities and also for buildings and improvements to road connections. In addition to the cost of operating the protectorate railways, which also includes expenditure on the maintenance of railway installations and rolling stock, depreciation costs, and flat-rate operating expenses, interest and administrative expenses for local railways operated by the protectorates, the total amount of K 2,766,481 million. It was also above the estimates with this result.
