l1.Blat on the work report of the Deputy Primator for the period from 1/8 to 30/9.1941. THE PRIMATOR-STELL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MAIN CITY PRAG. has thus been clearly demonstrated that the Czech population of Prague is living in the greatest degree of listening to Czech emigration. Similar findings could also be made during the implementation of the V-action ordered by the Reichsstellen, for whose success the main city of Prague did not contribute insignificantly. As far as this action can be driven forward from the city administration, it has happened in full and punctual. The city of Prague has made a substantial financial contribution to enable this action. The mere cash outlays, uncalculated by many times the higher level of its own government, amount to around 85,000.- crowns. The attempt, however, to have the windows of the town houses covered with V-signs was fulfilled only in the case of the Germans to whom the party had given a certain instruction. However, this German model did not in any way encourage the Czechs to do the same. With regard to this basic Czech attitude, the German population in Prague has gratefully welcomed the fact that it has now been energized and that deterrent examples have been made. I promise myself for the Prague City Administration at least that the unweaked passive resistance should be relaxed at least for a certain time. By the way, I have used the favour of the moment to retiring the former head of the political service, Dr. Morway , who is currently in charge of the business department and has repeatedly given rise to complaints about his political attitude. In conclusion, I would like to point out to Prague the effects of the in itself extremely welcome injunction, according to which the Jews are at last described publicly. Locals and strangers immediately noticed to their greatest surprise that Prague was teeming with Jews. This impression, which does not quite correspond to the statistically determined number of 40,00 existing Jews, was only made possible by the fact that the Jews were in the interior of the city.
