7 Professor Wostry, Chairman of the Audit Committee, explains the following: Mr. Hönsch had to pass the exam from deE German as a basic subject, Latin and Slovak as a secondary subject. The written housework from the basic subject had been recognized and he had therefore been admitted by the Reichenberg Commission for the examination of the Magisterium. Mr Hönsch had passed the tests in Latin and Slovak, and I must state explicitly that very great goodwill has been applied to the assessment of the test result from Latin. Before the oral examination from each of the subjects, he had to carry out written work under supervision, namely for the basic subject two and for each of them one. The written work with view from the basic topic "Newer subject" as well as from the two subjects was positive. On the other hand, the written work of the basic subject "Aeleres Fach" was completely insufficient, even though the candidate left the examination room for 25 minutes during the examination. Subsequently, in agreement with the examiner and the co-chairman, the candidate was advised by the chairman of the - Audit Committee to withdraw from the examination from the older subject. This advice was given to him in a most benevolent way and in his own interest, in order to prevent him from taking the whole test of all objects.
