bl To the envoy Z i e m k e, representative of the Foreign Office, Prague Thungasse No. 548 10.4.40 Dear Minister ! With reference to the conversation which the undersigned business manager with Mr. Chief Government Councillor G i e s was occasionally allowed to hold for the Secretary of State Franck in the Kaiserhof, we allow ourselves to draw your attention to the fact that the Czechoslovak Yugoslav Chamber of Commerce still exists in Belgrade. On several visits to Belgrade, the signed head of employment had found that this chamber still had a special life of its own with political tendencies, which cannot be described as equal. We therefore allow you, Minister, to ask whether, even after the abolition of the protectorate's customs autonomy, it is likely that this institution will continue to exist, or whether it may then be possible for our two chambers in Berlin and Belgrade to take over trade policy supervision of protectorate companies in Yugoslavia. It could be assumed that this could be done in agreement with the office of Mr Reichsprotektor in close cooperation with leading Prague economic circles. By giving you the list of administrative members of the former Czechoslovak Yugoslav Chamber of Commerce in Prague, we would like to inform you of the request for an opinion. Heil Hitler !
