20 St.M. IV L - 40 b/44g. Prague, 28 September 1944. Secret 28 1X 44,14; 31 FS. 40038 KR-FS: Geheim! Mit G-Fernschreiber! To 4-Obergruppenführer State Secretary Dr.Stuckart, Berlin. Dear party comrade Dr. Stuckart ! To your letter of 16.9.d.J8. - Sign II RV 1953/44 (220 U) I reply that the situation in the Protectorate no longer allows to build further KLV camps. The number of boys and girls housed in the camps is currently around 30.oo0. This stock must be reduced by at least two thirds, taking into account that the protectorate has recently been involved in hostile air activity, that the gang activity in Slovakia has spread to Moravia and that the development of the front in the Beskiden section may eventually become Moravian operational area. At present, the hospital in Moravia is already being converted into a field hospital, which means that in Bohemia an additional 15.00o wounded must be accommodated, while the relocation of production to the Protectorate continues and poses major difficulties for the departments involved in the area.
