Abs chrift M Report on the progress of the speech of Minister K a p r a š on 30 October 1941 in the Prague House of Representatives to representatives of the Czech higher schools. At 1/2 noon in the morning, the directors (deputy representatives of all Czech high schools of the Protectorate with two pupils each from their institution) were gathered to receive the attached statement of the Minister of Education in the representation house, in the whole of about 700 people. They had not been informed of the purpose of the event and, as many of them feared that they might be held hostage, the mood before the event, especially among teachers, was somewhat depressed. During the statement of the Minister K a p r a š it was to be observed that all those present were eagerly following the Minister's not always quite understandable words. From the faces of individual older directors in the first row it was necessary to note that they were terrified at the opening of the minister. At the end of the event, the students removed themselves because the teachers were held back for the reception of prüeksorten. The unusual restraint of the participants in the corridors and stairs was striking. Prior to the event, Deputy Prime Minister K r e j č í expressed his intention to send a more effective speech to the congregated, who would conclude with a spontaneous "I vow" of those present, following what he said. He was prevented from doing so in view of the Secretary of State's mandate, and then, as he said, he spoke to the Assembly in agreement with the State Secretary, b.W.
