hV Prague, 29 March 1940. Report. Betr.: Consulate General of the UdssR in Prague. The Consulate-General of the United Nations in Prague is in close contact with the commercial representation of the USR and also with the takeover commission at the Škoda-erken. About the persons who are employed by the Consulate general, here are only lists of names (with data). A Russian emigrant, who now wanted to return to her home country and therefore went to the Consulate General, became aware of the following: The UdssR government should have no interest in the return of emigrants to their home country. Nevertheless, one is strongly interested in processes within the Russian Emigration. The latter was also reported from another side and it is said that the visit of the former Tsarist general Biskupsky in Prague was very outraged. About Biskupssky and its activity to orga- nize the local Russian emigration, the local mission sent a detailed report to Moscow. In recent times it has been observed that there was strong Jewish traffic on the General Consulate. However, it has also been noted that the entry of Jews into the USSR was refused by the Consulate General. This is due to the fact that Jews have frequently arrived at the Consulate General and expressed their dissatisfaction with Stalin's policy, which in turn is linked to internal political events in the UdssR. About the press officer of the UassR-representative in Prague, Karl K o n r a d , it became known that he is at the same time a Tass correspondent in Prague (which he does not admit). He is not on the list of members of the USSSR-Representative. Konrad seems to be a Czech, who belonged to the former communist party as a member. He was also in prison twice for communist activity.
