The population figures are as follows: 1890 1910 1920 1920 1930 D. TschD. Tscho D. Cch. 3198 16133 1806 27876 118128821 909 *1150 After that, the German population was still nearly 18% in 1890; in 1930 only 3%. It is to be expected that after the war still more parts of the Proßnitz population in memory of the fact that their ancestors had strong German eingchlag, seek connection to Germanism. In order to give further impetus to these Germanization tendencies, it was of particular importance that the management of the city administration could be transferred into German hands. It will be the task of the new government commissioner to exploit all possibilities for further strengthening Germanism in the city. The German school system in Proßnitz is flourishing.
