- 5 - Division 202 - Primary education. There are 266 primary, secondary and auxiliary schools. The elementary schools have 8 school classes. The primary schools are selection schools for particularly gifted pupils, in which they are taken over after completion of 4 elementary classes. The teachers are composed of teachers for compulsory education, secondary teachers for voluntary education, home teachers for manual work, religious teachers for religious education, auxiliary teachers and teachers. The municipality has to set up and set up the school rooms and to obtain the other material requirements. The personal expenses for the teachers are borne by the Protectorate. The business of the State District School Office is carried out by the City School Committee, which is composed of the state district school inspectors, who are attached to teachers as secretaries. The municipality has to provide the municipal school committee with the necessary law firm facilities and assistants for law firm work. Of the teachers, the auxiliary teachers, who represent auxiliary teachers and household teachers, are appointed by the local school committee, with the approval of the municipality. The appointment of definitive teachers of this kind is with the approval of the local council. The other teachers are appointed by the regional council without the participation of the municipality. In addition to the administrative work resulting from the appointment of teachers, Division 202 has to carry out the general legal and organisational tasks of the community in elementary schools, to calculate and determine the remuneration of the assistant teachers and to pre-calculate the remunerations of the other teachers. The pre-calculations are verified by the State School Council, which finally determines the remuneration.
