129 - 83 - 06 registrar's office . Personnel law matters for the Germans resident in Prague obtain the registrars' office at the Oberlandrat. It is to be expected that these assignments will be transferred later to the city administration. If necessary, a German department will be set up at the city registry office. For the non-German territory of Prague, the weddings, with the exception of the Jews, will be provided by the presidential chancellery, and all other personnel law transactions by the conscription department. The new organizational plan provides for the summary of all assignments in a registrar office. In the Oberlandrat, two alternates and five employees are employed by the above-mentioned duties. In the Presidential Chancellery, the marriages are carried out on the basis of the confirmations of one official issued by the Conciliation Office. The registrar's office will also have the so-called matriculation, the church leaving and the home law tasks besides the personnel law matters. The latter task is difficult and extensive. The civil civil status law for protectorates covers only those persons who do not belong to any church or religious community recognised by the state. The churches are responsible for the other cases. In 1940, 675 births, 6187 marriages and l234 deaths were to be treated. 28 officials were employed with these businesses and 7873 church exits, with the branches of the city administration 20 and the subscription office 8 officials. For the matriculation, the home law and some other small-scale tasks, 58 other staff are employed in the subscription department - the number is too high. In the case of the economic use of the forces, there must be a considerably lower number.
