On behalf of the President of the Slovak Republic, Dr. Josef Tiso, I allow myself to present the Grand Cross of the Slovak Cross Order. This expresses the full recognition of the parliamentary cooperation of the Slovak People's Party Hlinka with the Sudeten German Party and your services during the time of the struggle for Slovak autonomy. On this occasion, I would like to highlight your highly esteemed activity for the Slovak cause in recent years of the Czechoslovak Republic. I would point out your constant political cooperation with the perpetuated leader of the Slovak people, Msgr. Andreas Hlinka, who was of fundamental importance for the present German-Slovak relationship. For me, it is a special honour that I should be able to give you this high Slovak award personally, since I myself have fought with you in the former Czechoslovak Parliament for the rights of our peoples. Your merits, Excellency, for the Slovak State will never be forgotten. With this in mind, please, take the most devoted greetings of the President of the Republic Dr. Tiso of the Chairman of the Government Dr. Tuka and of the entire Slovak Government. 01e00
