En t flung ecmege. l2 AIIRII33 Your Excellency ! Dear President ! Juer Please accept my most sincere thanks for the awarding of the Grand Cross of the Slovak Cross, which means a high eminence for me and fills me with great and proud joy. I, too, like to remember the times when I was allowed to fight side by side with the unfortunately too soon passed away leader of the Slovak people, Msgr. Andreas Hlinka, and all the other representatives of the Slovakian People's Party for the victory of the just cause and the freedom of our two peoples in the former Czechoslovakian Republic. The development was right - the struggle was not in vain and has been crowned by the most beautiful success we could wish for. After the successful end of this war, for whose victorious outcome the brave Slovak soldiers fight shoulder to shoulder with the German forces in unshakable comradeship, our two peoples will take the place they deserve in peaceful cooperation in the New Europe. By asking Your Excellency to continue to preserve the established friendship, I allow myself to express to you my most cordial wishes for your personal well-being and the happy future of the Slovak people and to continue with the expression of my devotion and highest esteem yoyon2e To the President 89/ of the Slovakian Republic Msgr. Dr. Josef Ti s o in Pressburg
