K St.M. IV F - 3 f/44. Prague, 7 December 1944. 12 K.H. with 1 annex submitted to the Minister of State. Minister Dr.v.Luckwald explained on telephone return that the replacement of the Slovak Consul General Dr. Ružička had taken place at his suggestion. Dr. Ružička had a Czech mother who, according to his speeches, was undoubtedly considered to be a Czech-Slovak patriot, had shown defaitistic impulses and had, moreover, been noticed in official traffic by constant nurturing. The Federal Foreign Office had followed the suggestion and had now initiated the replacement of Ružicka. My question, whether he (Dr.v.Luckwald) voted his suggestion with the German Minister of State for Bohemia and Moravia, was answered negatively. When I read the record of L-Untersturmführer Götz (without name), he called the statement Ružičkas as bare nonsense. v.Luckwald also stated that he had also initiated the replacement of the Croatian trade attaché, since he had abused his opinion to a greater extent. M.E. could have been expected from v. Luckwald that he would have presented the question of the replacement Ružičkas Yhnen. It would be quite conceivable - apart from the possible effects of the measure in the Czech area - that the secret state police or the SD-RFfl has a post-service Jnteresse at the place Ružičkas in Prague.
