Department of Transport and Technology Prague, 1 February 1945. VIII/le - v -7400/45 - 1st FEB. 1945 To Minister of State SS-Obergruppenführer K.H. Fr a n k Mr SS-Brigadeführer Dr B e r t s c h the Armamentsobmann Mr General Director Dr A d o 1 f Mr Oberbereichleiter W a l t e r Party Liaison Office the Head. The coal industry office SS-Obersturmbannführer Dr E i l e rs - each in particular - Betr.: Verkehrsleistung der BMB I hereby send a comparison of the coal transport and the freight wagon position of the BMB in 1943 and 19944. The much better benefits achieved by the disengagement of traffic and the elimination of all uneconomic transports in the movement of goods in the year 1944 compared with 1943 have led to a reduction in the demand for wagons, so that certain lower performances in the number of wagons are not equated with a reduction of the demand coverage. For example, the much better potato harvest in the year l944 compared to 1943 has been met with a 9% reduction in transport costs. In view of the always considerable transport performance of the BMB for the 6th year of the war, it is likely that, with appropriate management, management of consumption and, above all, with precautionary restrictions, greater difficulties - apart from individual cases - have not yet occurred. In terms of traffic performance, I consider the -and often generalized - exceptions about tranaport difficulties mostly excessive. 1 plant (straightly vertrauliehi) Mg612 .1vix-3 {2/45
