The general flag ordered on this occasion in all Bohemia and Moravia, which was carried out on average almost everywhere, was welcomed by the Germans Iglaus as an expression of the last honour that must be brought to the leader of the Obergruppe, but the exposed protectorate flags still evoked great excitement and indignation. It was said that this was only a mockery of the day of mourning, and in these circles too the broadcasting of the funerals was expected with inner arousal. In the province, the Corpus Christi celebrations, which took place from Thursday to yesterday, gave Sunday the embodiment of a religious holiday, which, as usual, was marked by a lively traffic on the streets of the small and medium-sized cities. All churches were heavily visited. In particular, the rural population participated in numerous church celebrations. In the afternoon in Pibrans, the Corpus Christi ceremony took place at the Holy Mountain, in which about a thousand people, mainly rural, took part. Moves were not held, according to reports received so far. Under the clergy of the Protestant Bohemian Moravian Brethren's Church, whose anti-German attitude is known, the recent events have provoked consternation and perplexity. Almost generally, the opinion is expressed that a rally of loyalty in some form is necessary.
