Up to now, the Protectorate has been governed by the above-mentioned Reichsregierung, not least in order to ensure the existence of the numerous light play theatres for war-stricken persons taken over from the confiscation of associations. m9. b. Lord Mayor Judex, in his letter to the State Secretary (in connection with his efforts to put two of the city's courtly Brno theatres of light into operation through the city), informs that he would have come from the law firm of the Gauhauptmann Dr. Mayer received the following message: "The matter of the owner of cinema concessions by the communities has been decided by a decision of the leader in a sense favourable to the communities. The municipalities are allowed to direct cinemas in their own direction." ams.7) The Reichspropagandminister informs herewith that a decision by the Führer on the implementation of the order of the Reichsfilmkammer was not available. The Führers had merely casually expressed themselves on the question once, without, however, taking a final position. For the time being, the decision of the matter had been dismissed as non-war important.
