On behalf of the Secretary of State, I give the following an extract from the situation report of the state president in Moravia - Reichsbeauftragsverwaltung vom 9.ll.d. Js. - Sign number: P-3600/203 g-l942 again: "It is therefore all the more regrettable that factors, which in themselves are quite minor areas of the German human being, really play into this mood, which can be described as gratifying, but nevertheless have a very severe effect on the mood. I am thinking here above all of the allocation of Jewish housing and the exploitation of Jewish mobility. The managing district heads almost agree that these actions have caused a flood of both untrue and improbable rumors, denunciations and suspicions in the German population, and are quite suitable not only to cause external damage to the reputation of Germanism, but also to contribute to its harmony and unity between conflict and hostilities. It is clear that the local party leadership in this area does not sufficiently manage and influence the behaviour of the Germans in an appropriate way. However, it should also be considered whether measures could not be taken on the part of the state which are so unpleasant and unworthy of these phenomena.
