14 - 3 - he had encouraged and financially supported a foreign news organization, had also completely unaffected and without any pressure burdened E l i a š and even declared that he himself had only come to change his political attitude, which had initially been loyal to the Reich, through the attitude of the Prime Minister. The interrogations of the X K 1 a p k a of 31.7.1940 and 3.8.1940, in particular those of 31 July 1940, are so clear that there can hardly be any doubt about the illegal activity of the E l i a š. I attach these interrogations in copy. As far as in the interrogation of 31 Jul 1940 on page 4 of Dr. N e s t a v a l is to be reported in addition that N e st a va 1 was the head of the district of Prague of the "Narodni souručenstvi" and used the organization of its district for the procurement of political and military news. This activity of the N e s t a v a l after its arrest led to a state-law prohibition of the "Narodni souručenstvi" on 6.8.1940. All these investigations taken together, but also the statements of the primator Kl a p ka in themselves, are sufficient in my opinion to transfer E l i a š of his double game to the Reich. In the general attitude of the former legionaries to the empire and the finding that almost all the former Legionnaire officers participated in illegal organisations against the empire after the establishment of the Protectorate, this attitude of Prime Minister E l i a š is hardly surprising.
