We received your letter of 20.d.M. and find your astonishment as to our position in the Jonak case, as you found it in the press, understandable. How the reports about the meeting of officials at the l4.dd. M.stattgefun- den have come into the press is inexplicable to us. The meeting was scheduled three weeks earlier for the l4.d.M., in which the head of the district Folta,Ab-ordnunger Kraliczek and Dr.Jonak should have spoken. The first two had cancelled, so that Jonak was left alone. He now used this meeting attended by about 200 officials for an indictment against the leadership and against the conditions in the leadership council. It can be explained that we were all under the impression of his speech; although a resolution was read asking for information on the dismissal, another request that a delegation go to the leader and receive clarification in the form of a meeting made this resolution obsolete. Already on Wednesday the case of Jonak was completely clarified for us by the preface of the district leader at the district office in Brno. Nevertheless, we had the delegation drive to Prague yesterday, where it was received by the leader. We can now assure you that the 38 local groups, with the more than 4000 members of our movement, stand as the leader in old fidelity and discipline.
