As regards my letter of 29 December 1939, I inform you that, according to § 18 of the Financial Novelle of the year 192l /Ges, 21 August l92l,Z.329,S.d.G.u.V./, only the supervisory authority is responsible, which is the right of the State Committee in Brinn to carry out a revision of the municipal finances and the economic administration of the city of Jglau. In order not to give the supervisory authority the impression that I wanted to circumvent the supervisory and audit authority which it is entitled to, or that I had no confidence in the audits to be carried out by the supervisory authorities, I ask you to cover the supervisory body with a written order from the Reichsprotektor with which a review of the government finances of the city of Jglau is expressly requested.
