13 Copy! The Oberlandrat Tabor. Tabor, January 5, 1942. No. II-833/1. To the Herr Reichsprotektor in Bohemia and Moravia, P r a g-Senat. Betr.: Dejudigung der Papierfabrik "Eisenmühl" in Patzau. Process:Dec 19, 1941, No.II/1Jd- 244o7/41. In order to arrange the paper factory "Eisenmühl", 2o applicants applied shhriftlich. In addition, numerous applicants obtained personal or telephonic information, but then withdrew from a written application, as the necessary requirements could not be met by them. In the short choice, I have taken the following companies and persons: 1) Prague public limited company for paper industry in Prague. 2 Eduard Strache, graphic large-scale operation in Warnsdorf. 3 Herbert Hartkopf, captain of the Luftwaffe in Szczecin. Ed. Ullimann-Verlag in Reichenberg withdrew his application by letter of 23.0 October 1941. The other not mentioned applicants do not meet the necessary requirements. As I mentioned in my report of 28.11.1941, I1-835/1, I intend to make this paper mill, together with the German large-scale property and some smaller businesses still to be arranged, the centre of Duetian economic and popular policy efforts in the Czech city of Patzau. In order to meet these requirements, the future owner must, in addition to a perfect German attitude, also have the necessary expertise and, moreover, be able to expand, modernize and, above all, maintain this operation. The owner of the company Ed.Strache in Warnsdorf has the necessary capital, but is not an expert. Herbert Hartkopf would deserve consideration as a front soldier, but has no expertise, because he operated a carpet business. Furthermore, he does not have the necessary cashiers at his disposal. Hartkopf has a property which, according to his information, is to be worth 115.ooo.-RM, but still had to take up a very high loan for the Aryanization, since the Ararianization requires approximately an amount of Rl 26.oOO.-.
