Subject: Publication in the "Prague evening" of 2.8.l940 "Better housing conditions in the Protectorate" by Dr.Denner. In return of the opinion given to me under 7 August by Ministerial Conductor Bertsch and the associated annexes, the above mentioned matter is reported: The publication in the "Prague evening" is taken from the edition of 1 August of the Landesdienst Böhmen and Moravia of the DNB Prague. I have had the material of the service presented to me and found that this publication has not been submitted for censorship and has therefore not been released unreservedly by me or my department, as stated in the report by Mi- nisterial Conductor Bertsch. I have found that the national service has translated the note from a Czech point of view which is no longer familiar to the editor in question. However, there is a strict instruction that publications in which a German department mentions or refers to any oral or written omissions by German persons and members of the public authorities may not in principle be taken from Czech documents. There is, therefore, a blatant press offense by the editor of the Deutsche Nachrichtenbüro Branche le Prag, which, on my part, will be punished by a corresponding letter to the head of the main journal, Ansorge, with a clear written warning.
