The German Minister of State. 13 February 1944. (p.d.) St.M. 82/44g. √ Secret N 13. 1I1. 1944 1.) Turch Messenger! To Mr. Ambassador Dr.sohniat, Head of the News and Presee Department in Auswärtigen Ant, Berlin v8, Wilhelmstraße 74-76. JNa2 Very revered party comrade Dr.Schmidt! Thank you very much for your letter from 5.2.D.Js. in Saxony Mr.Nartin! As you will be told by the Council of Envoys v.Strempel, everything has been done to make Martin's stay in Prague in accordance with your wishes, but I am inclined to say that the expectations placed by him in Martin will not be fulfilled. I come to this view on the basis of the following observations: Martin had the wish to enter into closer relations with a woman. He gave the woman who was given to him, who was in no way initiated, but pretended to be a Czech woman, on 9.2.d.Js. Among other things, he stated that he was a French Canadian, had been a soldier in Africa and had already heard of daily US attacks on German cities. He had been captured in Africa, and had been taken to Germany.
