The Imperial Protector in Bohemia and Moravia. People's Political Department. 61 Prague, 24 April 1939. File note. Betr.: Letter of the primator deputy Prof. Pfitzner #tm 24.4. about the advertising methods of the Czech "national community". In the opinion of the People's Political Department, the aforementioned advertising methods of the Czech "national community" pursue only internal Czech objectives, and are directed exclusively against the Czech-national legal opposition, which in some cases becomes quite palpable. The subject must finally be considered in connection with the recently distributed plug-leaf of the "national community of the people". The aim of this measure should be to use as little right-wing politicians as possible in the imminent formation of government, or to be able to eliminate them very easily, and thus to put together a list of ministers which is merely a different edition of the present government, and which remains dependent on the present men. If such an influence on undecided people's Germans or on partners of a mixed marriage were tried there and there, then the influence on these fluctuating peoples could be prevented from the part of the German authorities, i.e. from the side of the NSDAP. The circular lines would be indicated in this sense. Even if - as we are doubted - the creation of a national cadastre were immediately thought of, this cadastral could hardly be dangerous to us because of the lack of its official character. In addition, there are good official cadastrals for the creation of such a cadastre, which are completely available to the Czechs /Reporting offices, election results, statistical Steatmames communications/ that the advertising of this national association would probably be one of the most impractical of all possibilities. The People's Political Department therefore does not share the concerns of the primator deputy of the capital Prague. Dr Blaschek. Address: KXXXXXXXX State Secretary Frank.
