I answer Jhr telex of 27.11. d.Js. - No. 3609 as follows: By a final judgment of the special court at the German Regional Court in Prague of 27.10.d.Jz., Elisabeth Mayer was sentenced to death for the support of enemies of the Reich and the bank employees Aaalie Mayer to two years six months prison. Elisabeth Mayer joined Jews in 1940 in close social relations. She also had sex relations with a Jew at the beginning of 1941. When this Jew, who had now escaped from the police custody imposed on him for non-compliance with an evacuation order, appeared to her in June 1944 and asked for admission, she granted him shelter for several days despite knowledge of the surrounding states. Amalie Mayer knew about the relations between the Jew and her sister. She nevertheless tolerated his visits and the accommodation in her communal apartment. The question of grace in the case of Elisabeth Mayer has not yet been decided.
