I. 1940 at the German Charles University in Prague as a doctor of medicine. Dr. N. Since his doctorate he has been working at our department. When I took over the department at l. 4. l940, Dr. N. was already there. Because of the war he was not able to go home, he also got no means from there. He was not honored in the hospital. In April 1994 he submitted an application to the Ministry of Social and Health Administration in Prag for authorisation to carry out his medical work in hospitals and institutions. This application was rejected by the Ministry for Social and Public Health by decree of 16 April 1974. As far as we know, the only Ukrainian doctor involved in such a ban, on the other hand, he is one of the few to have a doctorate at a German university. With regard to his work at our department, I can only describe him as a diligent, conscientious and reliable person, also that he showed a very German-friendly attitude from the beginning and was more exposed and subjected to harassment in this respect, so that I have had to intervene several times. Since there is no disadvantage to me about Dr. N. is well known, but on the other hand I have learned that Dr. N. was the only Ukrainian to have a work ban, believe 1
