u St. M. XII G - 29e/43. Prague, 17 February 1944. Ministerial Office Eing. 17.FEB.1944 Ministerial Councillor Dr. G i e s in the House. Betr.: Josef Mattas, kinship with Mr. Minister of State. The examination of the documents showed the following picture: The grandmother on the paternal side of Josef Mattas, Katharina Rauner born 11.4.1856 in Drusdau, is the daughter of Josefa Frank from Kottiken, parish of Malesitz near Tuschkau. Josefa Prank is again the daughter to Adam Frank, Bauer in Kotticen and Anna Schneider from Ledetz near Pilsen. I could see that the great-grandfather of the Minister of State really had a brother named Johann Adam, born 5.5.1789 in Sandau. Without further documents it looked as if there could be a connection between the two Adam Franks. I sent the further documents from Kottiken and from these it is obvious that it is only a random name likeness. Line of the Minister of State: Johann Adam Frank, born 5.5.1789 winges in Sandau, father: Jakob Frank mother: Anna Maria Küß. Ancestor of Josef Mattas: Adam Frank , born 2.1.18o3 in Kotticen, father : Wenzel Frank, mother: Anne Haak. e It would be pfa: related by the Lord Adam before Welten on 22.2.44.
