Copy! THE GERMAN AUTOMOBIL-CLUB E.V. THE PRESIDENT Munich, 21.7.1943 Dr.J/Fa.e e TeaA To the leader of the NSKK. Erwin K ra u s München 33 Briennerstrasse 41 Betr.: Supervision of Czech drivers through the German Automobile Club. Corps leader! I take the following paragraph from an activity report of the DDAC office in Prague: "By the dissolution of the National Automobile Club, the Czech drivers have lost the consulting office that is still necessary today and are increasingly turning to the DDaC office with all the resulting inquiries. This has in particular resulted in a lively telephonic, oral and written claim, whether in administrative, tax-related terms, or in the case of orders from the Wehrmacht services, on the part of Czech drivers, often expressing the desire to join the DDAc as a member. The office had to reject such wishes in accordance with the applicable instructions." As the German Automobile Club also has a foreign department within the scope of its organization, in which drivers' foreign nationals are grouped and supervised, I ask you, corps leader, to bring the decision of the party chancellery about whether Czech drivers, who express the express desire to become members of the DDAC, can not join this foreign department of theDDAc. Jch would like to assume that the Czech driver, who in the present wartime express the desire to join the motorist organization of the empire, should bring friendly feelings to the empire and not be easily rejected by us. b.w.
