J Ia 50 The Reichsführer 4 Reichskommissar für die Festigung Berlin, 13 November 1940. German Volkstums I/O/23a/12.11.40 Ki/Bö. To the Volksdeutsche Mittelstelle Berlin W35 Tiergartensir. 18a Einsay der Rest= The large number of hermits in the camps, which are destined for an Einsat in the Old Kingdom, gives notice to all involved departments that the accommodation of Volhynia and Galicia must be carried out with all force. For the sake of a better overview, I would like to summarise the information given by my department in various letters on jurisdiction and appropriate processing in the following and ask you to inform this Susammen version of Yhren subordinated services. The Immigrant-Jentraststelle Nordost has carried out a survey in all camps, in which there are Polish and Galician German settlers, and thereby determined which settlers in the individual camps are destined for the Old Kingdom (A-cases). The camp leaders then have to hold cards for the resettlers (A-cases) of EWz. in their camp, from which everything only for the Einsat shows important and interesting facts. The camp leader has the duty to keep these cards carefully as long as the settlers are in the camp and to make them available for inspection by the authorities who are trying to eat them. If relocations to other camps are necessary, the EWZ. cards must be transferred immediately to the camp leader, who is then responsible for the care of the resettlers. If a hermit leaves the camp, the EWz. card must be sent to the head of the security police and the SD., Lissmannstadt-Balut, Holzstr. 88, where the district of the camp is located. If the heading intended for this purpose on the EEg. cards is to be entered, the characteristics to be used for eating must be entered. Only the EWz.- cards of such resettlers, which have in fact not yet been definitively removed from the camp care, can be found with the camp leader in the case of conscientious processing. A return to the camp of those resettlements is not acceptable and a new call in the camps is forbidden. In the case of any difficulties which occur with finally removed from the camps, the departments of the party, the state and the VDA.. For the entrance of the Umfiedler in work and housing is responsible, in the defsen district the camp is located. The camp leader has a duty to be in contact with the head of the employment office with regard to accommodation, while on the other hand the head is obliged to do everything that ensures the accommodation of the resettlement. Whereas the intermediary of the employment office responsible for housing the resettlement workers must be fully informed of each resettler and of his family relations; whereas, therefore, it is reasonable to expect that the agent of the labour office can contact each resettle; whereas in the event of accommodation difficulties in the district of his own country, a compensatory arrangement is made; The resettlers designated for the Old Kingdom are not located in the newly-divided eastern regions, and any applications made by resettlement are too modest. Exceptions are only allowed for those resettling people who are no longer able to work and whose relatives have declared themselves willing to make a living.
