114a 218 The Reichsminister des Jnnern IV d 6264/39 Berlin, the 29th Secretary of State of the Federal Republic of Germany. November 1939 3525 To the negations of the higher education countries (also Ostmark) Admission of German students in medicine, dentistry and pharmacy to the examinations (1) Requests of students in the fields of medicine, dental medicine and pharmacy, who were originally from Poland or returned to the German Reich, for the calculation of previous periods of study and other periods of training and examinations, are to be treated with the greatest goodwill if the applicants prove themselves as people German in an impeccable manner. (2) If possible, the training received so far is to be counted against. Three foreign trimesters are to be divided into two German semesters. Likewise, examinations and parts of examinations already completed must be taken into account. (3) Applicants must prove their data by means of certificates and evidence of study. The provision of such evidence and evidence, as well as the proof of origin, may be waived if the applicants submit the documents in a credible manner and give the express written assurance that they are unable to submit them without their fault. Documents which are supposed to be retained by the University in Poznan can be requested from there by means of the Reichsstatthalter in Pozen. If it appears appropriate, a short informal examination can be used to verify whether the applicant's level of training corresponds to his/her particulars. 4. Students who have been admitted to examinations without complete proof of their previous training are required to obtain the examination certificates until the certificates required for admission to the examination have subsequently been completed or have been definitively established that they cannot be taught. (5) Adoptation of the candidates in question can only be carried out with my consent.
