Unicorns, cattle, pigs, poultry and noble fur animals must be examined on the border by veterinary examination. Horses are also subject to the required blood examination. On importation of bovine animals, pigs, poultry and noble fur animals, a certificate from the local police authority of the place of origin shall provide proof that the animals have been part of the animal of the importer for a long time. This condition shall be met if the animals are born in the flock of the importer or if the bovine animals have been members of that flock for at least 6 months, the pigs, the poultry and the noble fur animals for a minimum of 3 months.
