My aff f21/\ The question of the confiscation of peasant farms has intervened very disturbingly in the structure of the villages. The confiscating of agricultural objects has caused great confusion and dismay, as many farmers have been expelled, who have managed their: farms in exemplary manner, have committed no offense and have not been punished. The farmers affected in this way cannot understand the cause of the confiscation of their property, but the farmers who are not affected also ask the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, in particular the Minister, in writing and through preliminary talks of deputies, when their property will also be confiscated. This situation causes almost all farmers to fall into passivity, start to lose interest in the increase in performance and not even the premiums and benefits awarded have the necessary incentive for them. Almost all 600,000 farms are affected by this and similar psychosis, and should this situation continue, the production battle in the year 1943 could be seriously threatened, but not with intention or sabotage, but with the resignation of farmers to their fate. In order to deal with this danger at a time when, on the contrary, the increase in performance is necessary, it would be very easy to solve this problem as follows: 1./ To place the expatriated farmers from Tyrol or Bessarabia on confiscated Jewish farms or on residual property of the land-ownership reform. 2./ The farmers so housed would be trained on such large objects by agricultural experts and adapted to local conditions, and any disturbances
