22 IV/l - 3010 Prague, 31 October 1944. l.)Note. Subject: Treatment of name questions. Reference: Submission of the former Group I 3 (Fuchs) and letter of 18 June 1942 by Secretary of State Karmasin. The matter has been classified into those ongoing processes which are no longer being dealt with after the first administrative simplification at Iv/2. Only some current naming questions within the scope of the troop training places and the city of Prague have been dealt with. I have the request of Karmasin this and his clerk Ing. Oldofredi can directly personally answer that such a list does not exist here, but should be introduced on an experimental basis at his current Gaugrenzlandamt Reichenberg. To my knowledge, the plan has not been implemented. After the war, the treatment of questions of names and names of persons must be brought to completely new and also uniform foundations in a people-political way, if the partial processing is not to create a complete chaos. In this respect, the deferral of the processing of name questions was also to be welcomed in other departments (Ministry of State, Gau- und Reichsstellen) also in the interest of the case itself. The discovery of the old process from the extensive material which had been introduced here at the time - 2 - St.Mπ-32c/92
