JUNE 1943 8 e etw.10 House dn im doa T e Betr.: Support for scattered German positions; Kaufmann Elster in Triesch. Reference: Decree of 29 November 1942 - St. S. IV A. 7 c/42 -. The special representative in the food sector, Director Rudolf Ml 1 r in Prague, has carried out a thorough examination of the economic situation. The following has been noted: "The company Alois E 1 s t e r, mixed goods, iron and liqueur production by cold means in Triesch, has existed since 1760 and has inherited its descendants over the years. The current owner Alois -•E 1 s t e r has taken over the aforementioned detailed business in 1935 and in this enterprise trades food and consumer goods of daily use and also sells, as is customary in the country detail shops, still hardware goods. The latter article, however, has fallen sharply in turnover over the last year, because the allocations in iron and steel products have been decreasing and have stopped almost completely in recent years. From Mr. Elster's personal communications it was clear that the boycott took such forms during the Czech period that he had already decided in 1938 to sell off the business of the house and garden belonging to it. At the last moment, however, he was advised not to sell and so he continued the business under the most difficult circumstances. The turnover shows a decline - development. In 1940 it amounted to K 468,000,-- "1 11 1941 K 460.000,- 1942 K 415,000--. 1STA-7d/42
