22 copy. The Head of Department V Prague, 17 April 1943. - No.745/43 - Mr. Secretary of State. Betr.: Pension Affairs Richard Fitz, Vienna. Reference: Decree of 22 March 1943 - St.S.XI B-61/43. The investigations are very difficult because a large part of the files are no longer available. The report now before us by the Pension Institute of the Prague Iron Industrial Company must be supplemented by a statement by the Prague Eisen-Tndustrie-Gesellschaft, which is only possible when the only official, the German national Chief Director Czeike, who has been informed of the matter, has returned from a business trip. According to the results of the investigation so far, Fitz has received an allowance of 428.00o öK on his retirement from the services of the Prague Iron Industry Company. At his request he received an invalidity pension from 1.5.1922 onwards for a period of 35 years and 7 months. When in the former Czecho-Slovak Republic the pensions of the institution were increased, the pension of the Fitz was also increased from 1.1. 1929. Since, on the basis of intergovernmental contracts between the former Austrian Republic and the former Czecho-Slovak Republic, the pension rights of the Fitz had to be transferred from the Pension Institute of the Prague Iron-Industry Company to the Austrian insurance institution, the Prague Eisen-Industrie-Gesellschaft itself transferred the premium reserves to the Austria insurance institution so that Fitz retained both his pension from the pension institute of the Pra- ger Eisen-Industry-Geeinschaft and also acquired rights from the Austrian insurer. The Prague iron-industry company has paid a monthly contribution to the pension of 455.84 K until the increase in the Fitz pension.
