Copy. 177 Subject : Demonstration of the "Vlaika" in Prague on 8 August 1940. Report. Before 7 p.m. on August 8th in front of the building of the headquarters of the "Národní souručenství" in Prague I, Geistgasse as well as in the immediate vicinity, groups of 5 - 6 began to gather, partly with the Uni-form of the „Vlajka" /largest part of high boots, black riding hoses, white or brown shirts and overturning consisting / covered persons. There was sent a readiness of lo man on the spot, who occupied the interior of the building and closed the main entrances, as well as two guards of 2 men each of the uniformed police, who called for the gatherings in front of the structure to go apart. At first the instructions of the guard were consistently followed, but the individuals immediately joined together again in groups, which returned and stopped again. As a result, the head of the Police Commissarate of the Old Town of Po lizeirat Dr. Cipra, who, after looking at the situation, called for all the willingness at his disposal, i.e. another 50 men. At about 7.25 p.m., the crowd, which had grown to about 300 to 500 people, crept together once in front of the main entrance of the building. Three demonstrators unfolded the Reich, Protectorate and Party flag on about 2 m long poles and under the shouts "Heil Hitler!", "Long live the Führer!", 'Sieg Heil!', "Government pfui!", and "Police pbui!" pushed the crowd to the entrance of the building.
