3 Josef Juretschek Brünn Bäckergasse 18 Brno, September 26, 1942. Office of the Staaisfekretär at the Reidhsprotector REGISTERED in Bohemia and Moravia. Mr. Eing.: 2 8. SEP. 1942 SS-Obergruppenführer, State Secretary Karl Hermann Frahk Prague. ----- In ignorance of the authority responsible for my case, I address myself with confidence to you, as my supreme SS leader of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Below I will present my case to you shortly: I, Josef Juretschek, born in Brno and since my tenth year in the Völkischer Turnverein Brünn-Kumrowitz as a gymnast, gymnasium attendant, pre-turner and gymnastics council, have been an independent bookseller in Brno since the year 1 929. Because of my German national activity, I only got the concession for book trade and for the management of a loan library after 8 years of heavy fighting. As a member of the Cultural Association Committee in Altbrünn, I became a member in five other Völkische Vereins. After that I immediately became a protector, visited l939 the Unterführerkurs in Iglau, was from 26.8. until 15.LL.1939 in the SS operation during the Polish campaign and 1940 voluntarily at the Waffen-SS at the SS-Batallion in Brno. From 13.l. to 8.2.194l I participated in the conversion training. An unfortunate event /I was accused of opposing § 176 R.ST.G. have/which brought me from 20.5.41 to 20.2.i942, followed a second, which threatened my existence and destroyed my favorite profession. In both cases, I feel un-guilty to my best conscience. My appeal to the state capital of Brno and the complaint I sent to the SS Hauptamt and the SS Court in Munich have not been settled until today. On 26.8.1942, I requested from the new state capital in Brno for the grant of a bookstore and loan library concession. I submit three copies of my requests and complaints to you for your pleasant information. ./. St. S.XB-255/42
