THE SECRETARY TO THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN CHEIN AND MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 2198, sig. 109-9/22
English Translation
It does not do so, because it understands humanly all the moral and human pains of the Czech people and of the individual Czech people. It is natural that the harshness of the German approach against individuals who sought to change the given order corresponds precisely to the position of the people who have come into a struggle for their fundamental rights of existence. The German people are hard, coolly sensitive to understanding, but understands how to respect direct and honest actions. In such an atmosphere it is possible to agree on favourable conditions for an x further peaceful development of the people, to give them the structure of security and to enable them to enjoy the advantages given by the autonomous regulation within the framework of the empire. We have to take action according to the given possibility, which has closed us up by integrating us into the framework of the Great German Empire and to which the State Secretary once again drew our attention: a state organism has emerged here, which is also a Czech organism, up to the mass of Czechs, until the Czech people have become aware of this fact. The Great German Empire and its interests are also the kingdom of the Czechs, for which unimagined possibilities have been freed in this context and in this great expansion. The conditions and their association are on our, the Czech side. The Germans have laid the foundation for this new development by the decree of the leader and Chancellor Adolf Hitler at the Prague Castle on the establishment of the Protectorate. The Czechs have only to expand this position. And it is already high time to start the construction work, mmmmmmmmm at least in those circles, who are responsible for the fate and spiritual and material values of the Czech people. The speech of the Secretary of State H.Frank gave the last opportunity. -jfv. 88 D30
