65 (3) to the General Commander of the Non-Uniformed Protectorate Police - The Chief of the Staff -. b) Special insinuation of the Protectorate Criminal Police, including the Community Police and Gendarmerie, to the extent that they are entrusted with the performance of criminal police duties. In technical terms, in particular with regard to the implementation of the criminal police reporting service (communications), the (1) municipal police and gendarmerie, in so far as they are responsible for carrying out criminal police duties, are responsible to the criminal departments or departments responsible for them. Criminal Directorates. The criminal Directorates are affiliated with the police authorities of their place of duty and are under the responsibility of the heads of these authorities. The heads of the criminal authorities conduct the business of the chiefs of the authorities to which they are affiliated, in all criminal police matters as their representatives. This does not affect the position of the general representatives of the chiefs of the authorities to which the criminal services are affiliated. 3. Criminal departments. Criminal departments are under the responsibility of the police administrators of their place of duty. The heads of the criminal departments are directly under the authority of the policing authorities. 4. Community criminal police. The municipal criminal police are under the authority of the mayors of their place of duty. The heads of the municipal police are directly subordinated to the mayor. 5. Community police and gendarmerie, as far as they are entrusted with the performance of criminal police duties. The municipal police and gendarmerie, in so far as they are entrusted with the performance of criminal policing tasks, are responsible in a) in terms of personnel to their superiors, b) in technical terms also to their supervisors, but in criminal police matters they have to comply with the instructions of the protectorate police responsible for them and to follow the orders issued by the general commander of the non-uniformed protectorate Police (protectorate criminal police).
