No decree has been issued on the written letter of the Lord Reichsprotector. In view of the completely unsustainable plight of the teachers of the general public within the Protectorate, I now intend to pay all the teachers, whether they come from the rest of the Reich or not, a current subsidy up to the amount of the corresponding Reich salaries, and to start absolutely before Christmas. In view of the difficult work to be done by the teachers in the Protectorate, the psychological depression which has been present for a long time as a result of the almost debilitating economic situation in most of the teachers, which has already had a lasting effect on the teaching of German schools, can no longer be accepted. The currently apparently considered funding of only teachers from the rest of the Reichsgebiet leads to a completely impossible classification of teachers, because it leads to the fact that those people of German teachers who have endured in the most difficult times under difficult conditions in the former Czechoslovak State, are not only subjected to undue discrimination against those who have come from the above-mentioned Reichsbereichs and are still coming, but are even severely punished for their faithful perseverance. If, therefore, it is intended that only the teachers from the rest of the Reich who work in the Protectorate should be granted grants, I would have to object to this.
