The accommodations are still in desolate, completely overcrowded villages, exclusively in unheatable barns and dilapidated outbuildings. In the beginning, for example, a small village had to be occupied with 3 500 men, in which there is a single well, which was empty for the whole day after 10 minutes of water extraction. The work is at the moment extremely useful due to the strong frost prevailing for several weeks and the approximately 60 cm high snow cover. During our presence we were expressly confirmed that the Czech agricultural workers despite the primitive conditions had to record the recognized best work performance. Instructors of the Board of Trustees are now able to lead the completely uneducated young agricultural workers into permanent units, the pride of which is to distinguish themselves in attitude and work from the other mixture of peoples incorporated there.
