2E Prague, 1l. January 1945. Secret ! Ve r m e r k. Right in the first meeting about the ski jump operation in Niederdonau the Obergruppenführer had at his disposal that Minister Hruby_ and Dr. Teuner visited the Czechs at Christmas or New Year. The visit was planned for New Year's, but was postponed by one week, until 7 January, in view of the fact that the conditions had not yet been fully clarified. All preparations were made for this day. Various things were also prepared on the spot, which I had discussed in detail with Oberbannführer Dreßler. The visit would have been quite desirable and it is not understandable to me why Gauleiter Jury expressed the opposite wish. Dr. Holik was once in Niederdonau every week since the start of the ski jump operation. He only learned about the departure of the visit on Saturday morning, shortly before his departure, by the Czech State Secretary Vašina, who told him by telephone that the return of the minister had been cancelled. From this Holik in no way needed to conclude that he was not allowed to drive, especially when he had already been there the two Sundays before, at Christmas and at New Year's Day, and these visits have always been welcomed by me. The two Bezirksobmänner were already on the way outside by train, as well as the preparations could not be canceled on the spot, because I only received notice of the refusal of the minister visit during the later Saturday morning and by telephone -2-
