Dr. Ber t s c h Inlste aPree December 2, 1944. - Dec 3, 1944 An 4-Obergruppenführer Minister of State F r a n k . Strictly confidential! Gauleiter Dr.Jury asked me to join the party liaison office yesterday morning. He asked me if it would be possible to provide him with lo O0o Czechs for ski jumping work. It was about ski jumping works, which had been transferred to him as Gauleiter by Reichsleiter Bolrmann and were outside Bohemia and Moravia. However, it was not finally decided whether this measure would be implemented. It was conceivable that part of the ski jumping work would also be carried out in the Protectorate at some distance from Olmütz. Jch replied that he first had to discuss this question with Mr. Minister of State Frank. Jch was a Minister for Economic Affairs and Labour, a mere implementing body, which would act in accordance with the instructions of the German Minister of Foreign Affairs. However, as regards the number of workers required, it can only be said that the labour force can be employed only if other measures are temporarily discontinued or at any rate restricted. This is also the case with ski jumps in the rest of the Reich. The way in which the labour force is assessed and assessed is also a matter for the Minister of State. If the Minister for State decides to provide the labour, then I would of course try to help quickly and to the extent necessary.
