English Translation
The difference between actual hourly earnings and the most frequent hourly hourly wage rate, apart from the leather production industry, is between 6 and 24%. As a matter of course, unit earnings are much higher than the most frequent hourly rates, such as hourly earnings earned on time. The average hourly earnings in the weighted average of time= and unit wage in the metal industry are about 35% above the most frequent wage rate. Then follow the stone industry (3%), the chemical industry (30%), the construction industry (29.6%) and the cement industry (29.7%). Since January 1994 the range between actual hourly earnings and the most frequent hourly wage rate has increased considerably, apart from the production of leather, in all industries covered by the studies. This reduction, however, does not only need a consequence of the increase in wage rates but can also be a shift between work in time and work in the unitary wage. This shift from time-labour to piecework occurs in seasonal industries= and industries. In January 194l the actual hourly earnings were only about 17% higher than the most frequent wage rate, while in April 1994l they were about 31% higher. The increase in the metal industry is estimated to be 4.2 %. Finally, it is pointed out that since the introduction of the wage survey in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, the actual hourly earnings in the industries studied have been higher than the most frequent hourly wage rate in April 1 940. Only a gradual increase in the range, especially since January 194l, is recognisable. Commissioned by Dr. M o k r y Certified: : Do0n teen employee
