On telephone call, the representative of Ministerial Director Mentzel, Government Director Kock, has just informed me: 1.) The press note had been issued prematurely by the Propaganda Ministry. It did not necessarily correspond to the official decree of the Reich Education Gistry, which was completed, but which needed the approval of the party chancellery. gr-hoffe stated that the decree was in our hands at the beginning of next week. Ceaex 2.) The decree provided that only Catholic theology would be shut down in the Charles University in Prague. 3.) At the Technical University in Brno it is planned to allow only the five- and higher-semester students. 4.) It is also planned to link the Faculty of Law and State Sciences in Vienna with the corresponding Faculty in Prague. As a whole, the present situation will remain essentially unchanged; a meagre result after two-month negotiations. hh/fv
