Dr. jy,/ The Imperial Protector in Bohemia and Moravia. Group of Cultural Political Affairs. TC 1939. First evening report of the French Runäfunk. From Paris it is reported: Peace and war is still in the hands of Hitler. At the borders of Europe the armies are ready. A single man has the power to decide the course of the Grshehnis. The present Reich government bears the undivided responsibility for the lives of millions of people who wish to raise their children in peace and quiet and to reap the peace of their work. In Paris, there is still hope that the united efforts of England and France will prevent a conflict. But it is of decisive importance that public opinion in Italy and France does not give up any illusions about the unusual seriousness of the situation. A compromise based on Hitler's demands is impossible. France and England have tried everything to establish a direct contact between Warsaw and Berlin so that negotiations could take place in an atmosphere of equality. In Paris today at 6 p.m. an extraordinary Council of Ministers took place, in which the measures taken in recent times were taken to take note. The Council of ministers lasted for more than two hours. Following its termination, the following communiqué was issued. Prime Minister Daladier and Foreign Minister Bonnet returned a statement on the international situation. The Council of Ministers unanimously supported the decision to maintain the obligation assumed by France.
