The preservation of the German blood is a main task of the National Socialist leadership of the Germans. In order to fulfil this task, a uniform treatment and notification of all applications is required in which exceptions to the rules applicable to persons with a Jewish or other type of attack or with such persons are sought. To this end, it is essential to ensure that the NSDAP, which is called upon to safeguard the national socialist ideals, is permanently involved in a decisive manner. I would therefore like to say that I have tabled requests for derogations of this kind, the decision of which I have reserved, in the usual procedure to date, in so far as they concern the civilian state, by the Minister of the Reich and the head of the Chancellery, as far as the area of the Wehrmacht is concerned, through the chief of the High Command of the German Wehrmascht.
