GRAF v. PÜCKLER-BURGHAUSS Prague, June 26, 1944. -BRIGADEFührer und GENERALMAJOR THE WAFFEN-H Ministeram Eing: June 28, 1944 Obergruppenführer! May I present the Czech-Mährisches Jockey Club's most obedient request to participate in the main race of the year, the Blue Band of Bohemia and Moravia, as in previous years. The race will run on July 9th. As in the previous year, the club grandstand would be kept free exclusively for you and the guests of honour and the club's board of directors.Because of the guests to be invited,if you allow me to contact Dr.Gies, I would like to limit the number, but, because it is a utraguistic association, the members of which are by far the majority Czechs, the Czech ministers with whom we are dealing (agriculture and finance),and perhaps also Minister Krejči,should be invited. The club has taken a very pleasing upswing in the 1/2 years since its redesign. The finances have been fine, improvements at the facilities of the race track could be carried out as far as possible. The Czechs have agreed with the German leadership and I believe they can say that they acknowledge them. There are no discords or resistances. For this reason, your presence would be very desirable, you would give new impetus to the work of the commissioners:
