The political situation and the mood of the population was initially under the impression of the attack on the Lord's Deputy Reich Protector Ss Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich and the Massnshmen following from the deed. The news of this attack aroused a tremendous indignation in all the czech people and was condemned in the strongest possible terms, with the desire for an early plague of the perpetrators everywhere being expressed. The population was fully aware of the consequences of this act for the ganse people, therefore quietly followed their work and avoided everything that could only be suspected in the least. The whispering propaganda was transferred to a death-ridden sohlag, since the emigrants are generally made responsible for today's conditions and the population is given spontaneous direction, which seeks the path of open and suf-cient cooperation with the Deutsohs and thus keeps in mind the preservation of the Czech people. The numerous checks and house searches carried out during the first half of the month showed that the large areas were mainly concerned with the smooth cooperation and that they are anxious to provide all the special facilities which were provided to them.
